Sheila Belanger, M.A.

Sheila is an inspiring astrologer, mentor, writer, shamanic practitioner and wilderness guide. She holds a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Psychology and carries a deep commitment to the integration of astrology, ceremony, and shamanism. Sheila is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Sheila has been a professional counseling astrologer since 1984. Several key streams influence her work: depth psychology; evolutionary and mythic astrology; and the profound life stories of thousands of astrology clients. Sheila views the birth chart of an individual as a map of the soul’s gifts, challenges and paths of evolution. She specializes in the astrology of midlife and its attendant spiritual rites of passage.

Sheila has facilitated shamanic circles since 1987 and been a shamanic practitioner since 1993. Her shamanic training has included studies with Sandra Ingerman; Michael Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies; and Angeles Arrien. Her core teachers are the wild ones of Nature and the helping spirits. She facilitates life-affirming shamanic classes and retreats and wilderness spirit quests. Her presentations are guided by humor, heart, and deep reverence for our shared interconnectedness.
